L. on a mother of pearl hexagonal cartouche. The richly figured walnut veneer is decorated with geometric parquetry and cross banded stringing in exotic woods, showing the fine craftsmanship of late 19th century English box making. The hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted interior with lift out tray, lined in ivory silk and blue
